Pollen affects dogs just like it affects humans. Dogs may experience discomfort from allergy symptoms during the summer, fall, and spring seasons. Allergies may be caused by but not limited to pollen. Dogs may be allergic to weeds, plants, food, mold, flea saliva, and other environmental surroundings.
Some of the allergy symptoms that your pup may experience are watery eyes, sneezing, itchy/flaky skin, patch skin, dirty/stinky ears, runny nose, and excessive licking.
If you notice that your pup is not on their normal behavior, and displays some of the symptoms listed above, he/she may be suffering from allergies. A visit to your veterinarian may help in finding out the cause of your pup’s discomfort or allergies. They may even refer you to a specialist. Your dog will feel so much better once diagnosed with what is causing the discomfort and gets a relief from it.
