Training Options & Pricing
advanced obedience Board & Train
$3,500 – includes overnight stays and training program
Your dog will be trained on:
- Sit-Stay (Hold in Sit-Stay for at least 10 minutes)
- Down-Stay (Hold Down-Stay for at least 10 minutes
- Leave it
- Polite greeting on a Leash (no jumping on people)
- Recall Training from Greater Distances and Higher Distractions (Bring your dog safely back to you when you call. Helpful in dog parks, dog runs, in public places, near busy roads or when visiting new places.)
- Impulse Control (Waiting politely for meals)
- Wait Prior to Entering Doorways (On Leash)
- Training and Socialization with People and Other Dogs
- Includes exercise, leash walks, bike rides, or fetch
- Some dogs will be able to achieve off leash control, this depends on breed, age of the dog, and the owner’s commitment
TRANSFORMATION Training
$2,500 – Transformation training 3 weeks
- FEAR, ANXIETY, NERVOUSNESS
- Restructucture the relationship
- Equip and instruct training tools for success
- Reverse negative experiences and create positive experiences
- Desensitize to stressful external distractions thru focus and redirection
- Train in public
- Train with experienced dog when applicable
- We work together to deal with specific issues you’re having at home and in public. We help your dog team with techniques and skills that empower you to take control of your pup. Severe problems at this level require the entire family to understand the issues and proper techniques needed to build your dog to be social and capapble of behaving in normal environments.
Take the Lead- 14 days
$2,300 – includes overnight stays and training program with being trained in public, stores, parks, events, etc.
Your dog will be trained on:
- Sit-Position (On Leash and Off Leash)
- Sit Nice at Your Side (On Leash)
- Heel (On Leash)
- Release Command (Allows dog to know when they can break from a command)
- Down Position
- Sit-Stay (Hold in Sit-Stay for at least 5 minutes)
- Down-Stay (Hold Down-Stay for at least 5 minutes)
- Recall Training (To come when called.)
- Polite Greeting on Leash (No jumping on people)
- All techniques are trained with distractions
- MOST POPULAR-this program helps with having your dog listen in public.
Anger Management
$3,000 – Anger Management 3 weeks
- Human Aggression

- Establish effective communication; system of rewards and corrections
- Restructure the relationship to obtain control
- Teach basic obedience, confidence, and calmness

- We help you teach your dog team techniques and empower you with tools to succeed. Severe problems at this level require the entire family to understand the issues and proper techniques needed to build your dog to be social and capapble of behaving in normal environments.
What is Balance Training?
Balance Training at Smith Farms uses positive reinforcement to mold the proper behavior and create the leadership methods required for the trained behaviors to continue. We use treats, toys, slip collars, prong collars, e-collars, and other trained dogs to help your dog become the best companion she can be. This allows for fast results. It also offers owners the tools they need to maintain the desired behaviors from their dogs with or without the use of treats, toys, or other positive reinforcement tools.
When training has been completed, your dog will be able to perform the techniques with little to no-correction needed. Once your dog graduates you will have a one-hour session with our dog trainer to teach you the training methods. Your leadership and comfort with these commands will help both you and your pet succeed after our training is complete.
Dog training experts at Smith Farms will also be available for another one-hour training session for you at our location within the next two weeks to reinforce the methods initially taught to both you and your dog. After that, we are available for assistance in the future if any needs come up related to the trained behaviors
Disclaimer
To make any dog training program successful, the owner must commit to follow through for the rest of the dog’s life.
This means, after being briefed on what commands/behaviors the dog has learned and how to implement them, it is up to the owner to maintain those behaviors consistently in everyday life. As you help your dog acclimate to any environment (and not just the environments they were exposed to while in their training program) behaviors will be reinforced and skills strengthened.
Because dogs learn at different rates and part of their success depends also on the owner’s commitment, (it is ultimately up to the owner to continue implementing the training as to maintain all the work done in their dog’s training program), no dog training guarantees can be made. However, we are always a phone call away for follow up questions and to provide assistance for help in generalizing the behaviors taught! As well as can do any follow up lessons as necessary!
Requirements
Any potential dog that would like to train at Smith Farms must complete a free evaluation. Once a dog has entered the training program owners must wait to train with their dog until their final week as to not interrupt the training focus. Some exceptions may apply. Please bring enough of their dog food for their entire stay.
Payment
To reserve a training spot, Smith Farms requires a 50% non-refundable deposit made at the time of the reservation. The other 50% is due at the time of pick up.
